A RECENT horror trend has seen a slate of films that feature a main character trapped in a dangerous location and trying to escape.

One of the latest movies to fit in this category, Nowhere, has left Netflix users on the edge of their seats.

The intense thriller follows a pregnant woman stuck in a sinking shipping container as she ends up going into a shock labour.

Mia escaped a war-torn country on a cargo ship only to end up caught in a storm with devastating consequences.

The young woman, who was separated from her husband at the start of their refugee journey, is left fighting for survival.

And that process is made even harder when giving birth to a baby.

Viewers shared that their stress levels sky-rocketed while watching the Spanish thriller.

One person who watched the film called it the "most anxiety inducing movie ever".

Another watcher was left in shock, exclaiming: "Nowhere on Netflix was f**king insane bro."

Someone agreed that anyone who watches it will experience "cardiac issues" every minute.
