Mayim Bialik is an American actress from San DiegoCalifornia, who was born on December 12, 1975.

Her cinematic debut was in the film Beaches, where she portrayed the younger version of Bette Midler's lead character.

Mayim experienced a career breakthrough after signing on to star in the NBC sitcom Blossom in 1991.

The show ran for four years, wrapping up in May 1995, but Bialik went on to enjoy much more success in the years that followed.

After Mayim announced her departure on Instagram, the show's official Instagram page confirmed the news.

The statement read: "Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated [or nightly] version of Jeopardy!."

"We have made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers.

They went on to say that Ken Jennings would be the sole host of the show.

"We are truly grateful for all of Mayim's contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to work with her in the future on primetime specials," the game show wrote.

On December 15, Mayim announced that she was let go from Jeopardy! after hosting the show for three years after Alex Trebek's tragic death in 2020.

Mayim captioned her Instagram post: "Jeopardy! announcement."

"Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!."
